January Tax & Financial Deadlines
Happy New Year!!
As you gear up to make 2023 your best year ever...
...there are still some leftover 2022 related deadlines to be aware of.
IMPORTANT JANUARY DEADLINES:
January 17th:
Q4 of 2022's estimated tax payment is due. (it is usually due on the 15th, but that falls on a holiday weekend)
If you plan to file AND PAY all your taxes for 2022 BEFORE January 31st, you won't get an underpayment penalty for skipping January 17th.
January 31st
1099s are due to any vendors that you paid over $600
If you haven't do so already, any vendors that you owe a 1099 must fill out a Form W-9 for you so that you have their information required on the 1099-NEC.
Form W-2 must be submitted to employees AND to the SSA (Social Security Administration)
Form W-3 must be submitted to SSA
These January 31st requirements might be handled electronically by your payroll provider, bookkeeper, or accountant. Please contact them to confirm.
